We are owner-operated so you always speak direct with your mechanic. We offer itemised quotes before the commencement of any work, which puts you in control of your repairs and maintenance costs.

Using only high-quality parts, oils and fluids, we are passionate about all things mechanical and back it up with a 12 month / 20,000km warranty on all parts and workmanship.

Family Owned and Operated

Nev Thomas started Thomas Mechanical in 2015 because he recognised the need to provide a high-quality, efficient and most  importantly  personalised,  mobile  mechanical  service  in the Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie and Central Coast regions.

With a young family, Nev is passionate about the local community and offering a service that is affordable, reliable and trustworthy; a service that is built on word-of-mouth and personal referrals.

He has extensive experience in the automotive industry; he completed his four-year apprenticeship in Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanics and then went on to complete further qualifications in Diesel Fuel Systems, Automotive Advanced Technologies and Marine Outboard Service.

Since then, Nev has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in the mechanical industry locally, working as a mechanic for various forklift, materials handling and automotive businesses as well as Service Manager for a global, industrial water pump company.

It is that experience that has enabled him to provide a mobile service which encompasses not only vehicles and classic cars, but also forklifts, light trucks, and fleets.
