What areas do you service?

We service Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie and Central Coast.

What are your operating hours?

Our operating hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm. Please contact us to discuss needs outside of these days or times.

Does Thomas Mechanical provide a warranty?

Our mechanical services and repairs are fully guaranteed and covered by our 12 month/20,000 km warranty on all parts and workmanship unless otherwise stated. Any warranty different to this will be advised prior to work being completed.

How much will it cost?

Before we commence any work on your vehicle, Thomas Mechanical can provide you with an itemised quote for the work required including parts and labour. We do not add on any unnecessary parts and will consult with you on any further work that may be required.

We have a Repair Call-Out of $110 (including GST) which includes 15 minutes of labour. After this, we then charge a reasonable hourly rate in 15-minute increments. You won’t pay any more unless you agree to our price estimate. (N.B. The Repair Call-Out Fee doesn’t apply to services or repairs with a service).

Are you a fully qualified and licensed mechanic?

Thomas Mechanical (Nev Thomas) is a fully qualified Motor Mechanic and has more than 20 years of experience. We also have qualifications in Diesel and Marine Mechanics. We are registered with NSW Fair Trading – Motor Vehicle Repair Industry Authority as a Licenced Mobile Workshop.

Can Thomas Mechanical provide logbook services for new cars? What about my manufacturer’s warranty?

Your new car manufacturer’s warranty is protected when you get your car serviced with Thomas Mechanical.

With Dealer Extended Warranties, please read your terms and conditions carefully as some require you to have the car serviced exclusively by that particular dealer.
